Freight-forwarding, moving goods from one location to another, efficiently, economically, safely and with all the right documentation relating to the type, size and nature of the cargo, as well as keeping track of the goods while they are in transit, is the essence of what we do. And, if freight-forwarding itself doesn’t sound simple, our mission statement certainly should: to make the process simple for you.
There are three primary ways in which we move goods from one place to another – by sea, air and land. Our specialist consultants will talk to you to find out which is the best solution for you. We’ll discuss with you:
Every client and every situation is unique, so we believe that a detailed dialogue with a dedicated member of staff is essential to making sure you get the best service possible. Our approach is to be flexible and responsive – we’ll work with you to make sure we have the right plan in place to fulfil your requirements down to the very last detail. Then it’s simply our job to take on the logistics of making that plan happen.
Moving goods into and out of the UK and across international borders often requires large amounts of documentation, not to mention the documents you’ll need for a business transaction with the person or company receiving the goods. We’ll make sure that every piece of documentation is in place to ensure that your import or export happens smoothly over any international border. For example, we can prepare:
Once all the paperwork is ready, our specialist staff will collect your shipment. If you need them to, they’ll pack it, too. Throughout the journey, we can track the progress of your goods at any and every stage – all you have to do is give us a call and we’ll tell you exactly where your shipment is and give you up-to-the-minute information about when you can expect it to arrive at its destination. And we work across time-zones – we believe in being available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to give you the information you need when you need it.
We have specially qualified packers who can look after any hazardous substances, from medication samples to highly flammable materials. You can leave it to us to assess and categorise the hazardous “type” according to Government guidelines in the UK and overseas, and to put together all the essential documentation to ensure that those goods can reach their destination safely. Don’t hesitate to call us if you need advice.
Our global network of agents will be looking out to receive your goods at the point of delivery (be that commercial or personal address, or warehouse or port), organise any exchange of documents and, if necessary, send the cargo on to the next stage of its journey. We can provide warehousing if you need it, using one of our warehousing partners. We’ll be watching with our global tracking system every step of the way and we’ll let you know as soon as your goods reach their final destination.
And if your delivery is urgent – let’s say you need something moved across the UK on the same day, or to Europe overnight – we can arrange urgent transportation for you, too.
